A report by a probe panel constituted by Giani Harpreet Singh, acting Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, has found that 328 Saroops of #GuruGranthSahib are missing as per the records of the #ShiromaniGurdwaraPrabhandakCommittee. Besides this, the probe panel found that SGPC prepared 61 and 125 Saroops of Guru Granth Sahib without making entires in its records. It is not know that where are all these Saroops now.
Punjab government is planning an industrial park near Mattewara forest in Ludhiana district of Punjab. Environment and social activists have raised alarm against this plan as Mattewara forest is the only large forest and largest adobe of wild life in the state of Punjab. Moreover the land on which Punjab government is planning to build industrial park falls in vicinity of Satluj river.
In 2015 the Punjab government had entrusted CBI with investigation of Beadbi cases. CBI failed to nail the culprits. As a result in 2019 the state assembly decided to withdraw investigation of these cases from the CBI and passed an unanimous resolution in this regard. Acting in accordance with the will of the State assembly, the Punjab government directed the CBI to hand back the investigation of these cases. The CBI did not only refuse to hand back the cases but also filed closure report in the trial court requesting the court to close these cases. All this happened when there are clear reports that a Punjab police team has cracked the case while investigating a related matter.
